CBS All Access Launches in Canada for $5.99 Per Month
CBS All Access has launched in Canada marking its international debut, offering Canadians over 7,500 commercial-free episodes from their TV catalogue, for the price of $5.99 per month. Users will also be able to live stream CBSN, the 24-hour live streaming news service.
A CBS All Access subscription will also include current seasons of the network’s prime-time shows, at almost 20 titles, including NCIS, Survivor, Elementary and Madam Secretary, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and others such as The Good Wife, Hawaii Five-O and Charmed. New episodes of current shows will air seven days after they hit TV.
“The launch of CBS All Access in Canada is a significant milestone for the service,” said CBS Interactive President Marc DeBevoise, in a statement. “We’ve experienced incredible growth domestically and see a great opportunity to bring the service and CBS’ renowned programming directly to international audiences across a range of platforms and devices.”
Those seeking to watch Star Trek: Discovery, will be sad to find out it’s not included, as Bell Canada has rights to the series.
CBS announced it would be expanding All Access to Canada last August, as part of its plan to expand streaming offerings internationally for the first time.
The service right now is available across all screens, on iOS, Android, the web and on Apple TV. It currently comes with a one month free trial.
