Spark Email Client for iOS, Mac Gains New 2.0 Update, Adds Real-Time Collaboration
Readdle has released a highly anticipated update for its free email client Spark, as 2.0 brings an all-new release for iOS and Mac users.
Spark now adds new integrations with third-party apps such as OneNote, Trello, Evernote, Todoist and more. Also new is the ability to share links to email, as you’ll be able to generate a custom link to an individual email or entire conversation.
The app now also lets you discuss comments in real-time with your team, so users can communicate in one place. This adds to another new feature which allows teams to create email together, allowing them to compose and review an email together in real-time.
Readdle calls this latest update “a revolutionary collaborative experience in your Inbox,” while also noting “We do our best work as part of a team. Spark allows you to create, discuss, and share email with your colleagues. Take your team collaboration to the next level.”
Upon launching the app after updating, Spark will verify your account, which “could take several minutes minutes, but normally only takes a few seconds.”
According to Readdle, over 1 million people user Spark, which is “the future of email”. The app is free but has paid premium and enterprise tiers. The free version includes 5GB of Team file storage and allows two active collaborators and standard link sharing.
We updated Spark for iOS and right now there appears to be an error with sharing email links. We’re seeing a pop-up that says “Error. Internal server error. Please try again later.” This could be the service being overwhelmed on its launch, so expect this to be fixed shortly.
