Apple announced a brand new strap for Apple Watch today—the Pride Edition Woven Nylon, which is now available for purchase in Canada for $69 CAD. Apple announced the new watch face at its WWDC keynote today.
The strap is created from over 500 threads woven together to form a colourful pattern, with “Monofilaments connect four layers of the weave to create a single durable strap with a comfortable, fabric-like feel.”
Apple is proud to support LGBTQ advocacy organisations working to bring about positive change, including GLSEN, PFLAG, The Trevor Project, Gender Spectrum and The National Center for Transgender Equality in the US, and ILGA internationally. A portion of the proceeds from Pride Edition strap sales will benefit their important efforts.
There’s also a new Pride watch face available for download right now to go with the band. Just launch the Watch app on your iPhone, tap on the Face Gallery tab, and then download the new face.
This new strap is available for pick up at Apple retail stores on June 7, while online orders deliver the same day.
