Currently, through December 31, 2018, the cost for an out-of-warranty battery replacement for an iPhone 6 or newer (iPhone SE, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X) is still $35 CAD.

The $35 price will change on January 1, 2019, to $65 CAD for all models except iPhone X, which will cost $89 for an out-of-warranty battery repair. It now appears out-of-warranty iPhone battery repairs for the company’s latest models such as iPhone Xs and iPhone have dropped by $10 to $89.

For those still within warranty or have AppleCare+, battery replacements are $0. If your repair requires shipping and isn’t covered under warranty or AppleCare+, Apple says there will be a $10.77 shipping fee.

Back in December 2017, Apple introduced a $35 iPhone battery replacement program, regardless of diagnostic tests for iPhone 6 models or newer.

The regular price was normally $99 for out-of-warranty battery repairs. The company initiated the battery repair program after it admitted to slowing down CPU clock speeds in older iPhones with aging batteries, to prevent unexpected shutdowns.
