Civilization VI iOS Expansion Packs are Currently Free, Worth $48 CAD

Sid Meier’s Civilization IV on iOS is currently offering expansion packs for free, as part of a holiday offering for December.

Here are the dates for the freebies, with normal prices below in CAD (via Polygon). The expansion packs are only unlocked for free on the dates specified below, so you’ll need to remind yourself to download them all, which you get to keep indefinitely.

• Dec. 20-22: Poland Civilization & Scenario Pack (usually $6.99)
• Dec. 22-24: Vikings Scenario Pack (usually $6.99)
• Dec. 24-26: Australia Civilization & Scenario Pack (usually $6.99)
• Dec. 26-28: Persia and Macedon Civilization & Scenario Pack (usually $11.99)
• Dec. 28-30: Nubia Civilization & Scenario Pack (usually $6.99)
• Dec. 30 – Jan. 1: Khmer and Indonesia Civilization & Scenario Pack (usually $11.99)

Civilization IV is a free download with the first 60 turns available at no charge. After that, a purchase of the full game at $20.99 CAD is required.

The game requires iOS 11 and an iPhone 7 or 7 Plus, iPhone 8 or 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPad Air 2, iPad 2017, or any iPad Pro.
