Gmail for iOS Updated for 2018 iPad Pro, Material Design Rollout Still Ongoing

Google has updated their Gmail iOS app to now support Apple’s 2018 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models.

Prior to the update, Gmail on 2018 iPad Pro models would not extend fully from edge-to-edge of the display, but this update now maximizes screen real estate.



Google announced last week its Material Design update is set to roll out for iOS and Android users, “in the coming weeks”. So far, the new iOS design update has not reached Canadians, yet (some users on Android are seeing it already). We’ll keep you updated.
