Fido has started texting some customers offering them a loyalty plan, which consists of a $55 per month plan with 5GB data. The offer says the promo plan is eligible for an iPhone 7 for $0 upfront on a two-year term.
According to the text received by iPhone in Canada reader, David, it says:
“Hi David, it’s Fido with an exclusive offer for our loyal customers. Get iPhone 7 for $0 on this 2-year 5GB plan for only $55/mo. Get it at fido.ly/loyal or pop into a Fido store and mention the promo code LOYAL. Offer ends 26-Feb-2019. A price plan change is required.”
On a related note, Koodo is offering a $50/6GB plan and waiving the $35 administration free, according to RFD. This loyalty offer from Fido may be a partial response to that offering.
