RBC Mobile Student Edition Launches Within iOS and Android Apps
RBC Mobile has been updated today for iOS and Android, adding a new RBC Mobile Student Edition, geared towards high school and post secondary age students, or also known as Generation Z.

The RBC Mobile Student Edition is a simplified version of the RBC Mobile app, which makes it easy to send money to friends with a tap, while customization options allow students to add colour and a nickname to their account. Also new is the ability to tap on a banking term to get the definition.
“Gen Zers are true digital natives, and it was essential that their input lead the development of the Student Edition,” said Sean Amato-Gauci, Executive Vice-President, Cards, Payments and Banking, RBC, in a statement.
RBC says those under 22 who have downloaded or updated the RBC Mobile app will have access to the new Student Edition, available via an in-app toggle.
“We worked closely with a group of young Canadians throughout the entire process – from the initial research phase through to final testing. With their insights on how they engage with content and interact with money, we were able to deliver a mobile banking experience that’s in line with the apps that they know and love,” added Amato-Gauci.
