Dead Cells For iPhone and iPad Hits the App Store

One of the best console games of 2018 ‘Dead Cells’ has just been released for iOS and is now available as a universal download for iPhone and iPad in the App Store for CAD $10.99. For those who aren’t familiar, Dead Cells is a Castlevania-inspired 2D action platformer that debuted last year on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac.

As pointed out in a Reddit thread, Dead Cells for iOS supports multiple input methods, including an onscreen joystick and buttons that feature full customization.

You can either swipe to dodge or simply use the fixed directional pad to do so. Best of all, the game also features an “Auto-hit” mode that lets your character automatically swing at enemies when you get near them.

The game also features controller support meaning you can play using either an Apple-approved MFi Bluetooth controller or if you are running iOS 13 beta, you can also use PlayStation’s DualShock 4 or Microsoft’s Xbox One gamepad to play:

First available on PC and consoles, the indie hit Dead Cells is now slaying foes on mobile!

Main Features:

  • Roguevania: The progressive exploration of an interconnected world, with the replayability of a rogue-lite and the adrenaline pumping threat of permadeath

  • Frantic and Dynamic 2D Action: Learn your enemies’ patterns to stay alive, or prepare to be sent back to your cell before you can say “baguette”

  • Nonlinear Progression: Unlock new levels with every death, opt for the path that suits your current build, your playstyle or just your mood.

  • Play at your own pace: Will you explore every nook and cranny of the castle, or rush to the end?
