Instagram Rolls Out New Security Feature to Fight Phishing Scams
A new security feature being rolled out today by Instagram dubbed “Emails from Instagram” is aimed at making it easy for users to spot phishing emails that may appear to be coming from the social network. As spotted by The Next Web, the new feature can be found at Settings > Security > Emails From Instagram.
Using the new feature, one can find out all the legitimate emails that have been sent by Instagram over the past couple of weeks. So for instance, if you receive an email from Instagram requesting a password reset, all you need to do it head over to your app settings and check if that particular email is in the list of security-related emails.
Heads up: Today, we’re launching a new feature to help people identify phishing emails claiming to be from Instagram. This account security feature (accessed through Settings) allows anyone to check if an email claiming to be from Instagram is genuine. pic.twitter.com/3UE5kSypM6

In addition to keeping an eye on Instagram’s new security feature, we strongly suggest you turn on the two-step authentication to get an extra layer of protection for your account.
