Arlo Pro 3 Security Cameras Get Apple’s HomeKit Support

Arlo Pro 3 home security cameras, which made their debut in September last year without HomeKit support, are now fully compatible with Apple’s smart home platform (via The Verge). Following the update, users will be able to manage their Arlo Pro 3 cameras through the Home app on their iOS devices.

If you own an Arlo Pro 3 camera, you need to first connect it to an Arlo SmartHub base station version VMB4540 before you can use HomeKit features, such as voice control with Siri, ability to stream from the Home app and to receive notifications or alerts.

According to Arlo, HomeKit support for other Arlo SmartHubs and base stations will be available soon as well.

To check the version of your Arlo SmarHub, simply use the Arlo app or log in to your account using Arlo’s website. For more information, you can visit this link.
