Samsung Says the Galaxy Z Flip Has Sold Out in Canada

After launching sales of its new Galaxy Z Flip foldable smartphone last Friday, Samsung has announced this morning the new smartphone has sold out in Canada.
“Across Canada, consumer excitement and response to the new Galaxy Z Flip has exceeded expectations with the device selling out on its first day of sales,” said a Samsung spokesperson in an email to iPhone in Canada.
Samsung was only selling the Galaxy Z Flip in limited quantities in Canada at its Samsung Experience Stores, Samsung.com and at major wireless carriers, priced at a hefty $1,819.99 CAD, for models in Mirror Purple and Mirror Black.
“This phone changes everything. We’re thrilled by the response from Canadians for the Galaxy Z Flip. Compact, beautiful and powerful, the Galaxy Z Flip gives consumers a new perspective on everything a phone can do,” says Jennifer Safruk, VP, Mobile Business, Samsung Electronics Canada, in an issued statement.
The company did not disclose how many units of the Galaxy Z Flip were made available in Canada. Samsung says online orders will continue to be processed, with next shipments set to arrive on Friday, February 28, 2020.
