All 42 Apple Stores in China to Reopen on Friday

After shutting down its retail stores in China back in early February due to coronavirus, Apple will have all 42 of its retail stores reopened on Friday, according to a company spokesperson.

The news comes after Apple Stores have been shut down for over a month in China, due to restrictions related to coronavirus. Apple’s website lists most stores in China will be open at 10am to 11am local time.

After China tried to contain its coronavirus outbreak in late January, the country saw wide bans on travel and gatherings at public places, ahead of the Lunar New Year festival.

According to government data, Apple had sold less than half a million iPhones in China for the month of February, as of Monday, less than half of normal demand, reports Reuters.

With the current coronavirus pandemic in Italy, Apple has similarly shut down its retail stores in the country.
