The sixth-generation iPad with 9.7-inch Retina display supports Apple Pencil (1st-gen) and is powered by Apple’s A10 Fusion chip. There’s an 8MP camera on the back and 1.2MP FaceTime camera on the front.
In 2019, Apple released its seventh-generation iPad, which added an extra gigabyte of RAM to 3GB total, versus 2GB in the iPad 6, while adding support for Apple’s Smart Keyboard. The A10 Fusion chip remained. Apple Canada currently sells a 32GB iPad 7 cellular model for $599 CAD.
If you don’t need the latest iPad 7, this iPad 6 on sale will do the job just fine, especially if you’ve been seeking out a cellular model, which lets you subscribe to a mobile data plan from your wireless carrier.
