Apple’s ‘Gobi’ AR App Leak Reveals Starbucks, Star Wars Integrations, and More

Leaked pics from Apple’s upcoming new augmented reality app called ‘Gobi’ have revealed how AR will play a central role in Apple’s plans for brand integrations, payments, discounts, and more. As discovered by Josh Constine in a leaked iOS 14 dump, the pics also show Apple-branded QR codes with a colourful new format.

As you can see above, Starbucks coffee and Star Wars movies would be among some of the biggest integrations in the Gobi app. Audio files and haptic feedback found in the code reveal how the Find My app will give you sound and vibration cues to locate your missing devices.

The icon for the app itself (shown below) is yellow, depicting a phone superseded over a globe.
