CIBC Mobile Banking App Ranks First in Canada According to Satisfaction Study
The CIBC Mobile Banking app has ranked first in the latest J.D. Power 2020 Canada Banking Mobile App Satisfaction Study.
The bank’s mobile app topped other Canadian rivals when it came to satisfaction released to ease of navigation, visual appeal, speed and information/content.

Power Canada Banking Mobile App Satisfaction Study,” said Aayaz Pira, Senior Vice-President, Digital, CIBC, in an issued statement to iPhone in Canada. “This recognition speaks to our history of continued investment in innovation, offering market-leading solutions to help our clients achieve their ambitions.”
According to the J.D. Power study, CIBC scored 830 points out of a possible 1,000, edging out Scotiabank (822) and BMO (816), while TD (812) and RBC (808) ranked fourth and fifth respectively, below the industry average of 816 points. J.D. Power’s study took place from March 7, 2020 to March 23, 2020.
CIBC says during the COVID-19 pandemic, new digital banking registrants increased by close to 40 percent, while digital banking sessions were up nearly 20 percent, compared to prior to the pandemic.
Currently, the CIBC Mobile Banking iOS app is in the 6th spot in the App Store’s Finance category.
