Watch Apple’s Craig Federighi Give Life Advice at UC Berkeley [VIDEO]

Craig Federighi, the senior vice president of software engineering at Apple, delivered some “Questionable Advice from One Very Lucky Berkeley Engineer” during a ‘View from the Top’ conversation with Dean Tsu-Jae King Liu on Nov. 21, 2019, in Banatao Auditorium at UC Berkeley.

During the conversation, which was co-hosted by the College of Engineering and the Berkeley chapter of the Society of Women Engineers, Federighi highlighted his “7 rules for life” as follows:

  1. Do what you love
  2. Work with people whose work you admire
  3. Pay attention
  4. Never stop acting like the new one on the team
  5. Team > Self
  6. Commit, Focus, Reassess
  7. Follow your heart
