Modder Fits Nintendo Wii into a Game Boy Color Case [VIDEO]

A modder who goes by Twitter handle @GingerOfMods has just shared his latest project in which he has crammed a Nintendo Wii into a 3D-printed handheld case about the size of a Game Boy Color, with a 3.5-inch 480p IPS screen (via Engadget).

Since the Wii is backward compatible with GameCube games, the ‘Wiiboy Color’ mod allows playing those on the move along with retro titles through the Virtual Console.

The mod’s dual joysticks are from Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons, the face buttons are from a DS Lite, while circuitry is from a GameCube controller that ties them all together. The rear has triggers, Z-buttons, and a cooling fan. There’s also a USB-C port for charging and data transfer.

Although modders have been making portable Wii consoles for years, this one certainly stands out. Check it out and tell us what you think.
