11th-Gen Intel “Rocket Lake” Processors to Launch During Q1 of 2021

Intel has today confirmed that its 11th-Gen Intel Core desktop processors codenamed “Rocket Lake” will be launching in the first quarter of 2021 and will come with PCIe 4.0 support on board. “It’ll be another fantastic processor for gaming,” said John Bonini, Intel’s VP and GM of Client Computing.

So far, Intel has not shared any more details about its Rocket Lake processors while noting that it will “disclose more details in the near future.”

Based on earlier reports, however, the upcoming Rocket Lake processor lineup is also expected to offer the company’s new Xe graphics, along with integrated Thunderbolt 4 and USB 4 support.

It is also believed that Rocket Lake chips will be compatible with existing Intel 400-series motherboards, which should be helpful for anyone looking to upgrade next year when the new chips do launch.
