Today we saw the embargo lift on the first Apple iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro reviews and unboxing videos.

Now, we’re seeing more hands-on with iPhone 12 Pro but in the form of a video test. iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro can capture high dynamic range (HDR) video with support for Dolby Vision. This means videos can “capture true-to-life colour and contrast”, says Apple.

Now, Andy To has shared an “iPhone 12 Pro Cinematic 4K” trailer of New York City, captured on an iPhone 12 Pro we presume he had early access to.

“I’ve been home in New York for the past 7 months and a lot has changed. I’ve never explored the city this much before and with the release of the new iPhone 12 Pro I wanted to make sure I captured little more than just Manhattan,” explains To in his video description.

No external lenses were used to film the iPhone 12 Pro HDR video, which spans just under five minutes long. The video was shot in 4K at 60fps and 24fps and edited with Final Cut Pro on his laptop. The video is impressive because To showcases New York City from helicopter and it’s frickin’ beautiful, to go with capturing the soul of the city.

Watching the video on an iPhone 11 Pro Max with the YouTube iOS app set to 2160p (4K) is pretty impressive, as colours are super vivid.
