Tesla Full Self-Driving Beta: Canada is Next Says Elon Musk

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has announced Canada will get Full Self-Driving beta next, alongside the electric vehicle mecca of Norway, reports Tesla North.

“Canada and Norway are next after we get US out of early beta!”, said Musk on Monday afternoon.

Currently, the Autopilot add-on, which costs an extra $10,600 CAD, is running in beta only in the United States. Full Self-Driving beta currently allows a Tesla to drive from one destination to the another without driver interventions.

Early videos of the system in action have been impressive, with Tesla’s Neural Net learning over time thanks to feedback from beta testers. Tesla owners have been able to watch their vehicles stop at intersections, handle roundabouts, slow down for speed bumps and more.

When Tesla brings its Full Self-Driving beta to Canada, the price of FSD will increase in price by $2,000 USD, like it did recently in the United States, meaning the price should surpass $13,000 CAD.
