Gmail for iPhone and iPad has been updated today to now bring a widget for those running iOS 14.

“Now, you can easily stay on top of your emails by adding the Gmail widget to your home screen,” explains Gmail.

There’s only one widget size available in the medium rectangle, offering quick access to search, compose and your primary inbox.

You can add this Gmail widget in iOS 14 by tapping and holding on your home screen, then tapping the “+” icon in the upper left, then selecting the Gmail widget.

Earlier this month, Gmail was updated with a new icon. In iOS 14, you can also now set a third-party app as your default email application, including the likes of Gmail.

Apple’s Mail app badly needs a revamp—other apps such as Readdle’s Spark offers way more user-friendly features.
