Apple includes iCloud‌ Music Library sync service as part of every ‌Apple Music‌ subscription and as a standalone option called ‘iTunes Match,’ which lets iOS and Mac / PC users to store their music library online by matching uploaded tracks to songs listed on the iTunes Store or by uploading the tracks directly.

Over the past 72 hours, however, subscribers have been unable to sync their iCloud‌ Music Library.

The issue occurred whenever an ‌Apple Music‌ library sync was attempted within the Music app on macOS or in iTunes on Windows PCs. For those affected by the problem, syncing failed and users were met with the error “Genius results can’t be updated right now. The network connection was lost.”

Although Apple did not officially acknowledge the problem, it has reportedly fixed the problem overnight. Let us know if you are able to sync your iCloud‌ Music Library again in the comments section below.
