Several users are experiencing Bluetooth connectivity problems with their new M1 MacBook Air, MacBook Pro 13-inch, and Mac mini models, with issues ranging from intermittent disconnections of wireless accessories to completely non-functional Bluetooth connections (via MacRumors).
According to some M1 Mac owners, their machines are unable to connect to not only third-party Bluetooth mice, keyboards, and headphones, but also with Apple’s own peripherals such as AirPods, Magic Keyboard, and Magic Mouse.
Owners of M1 Mac mini are reportedly affected the most since they mostly rely on wireless Bluetooth peripherals to interact with their Macs.
“One user reported identical issues after receiving a replacement unit from Apple, while another user was able to successfully connect their Logitech accessory using the included Unifying Receiver Bluetooth dongle. However, there’s still no consensus on whether it’s a software problem or something more deep-seated.”
Apple has not yet issued any statement regarding the matter, but we will be sure to update you once Apple rolls out a fix, most likely through a software update.
