Anker has unveiled its new Liberty Air 2 Pro wireless earbuds today, the company’s first earphones to feature advanced, multi-mode active noise cancellation (ANC).
The company streamed a virtual event held at the Viper Room in Los Angeles, California, today, which saw American singer and songwriter Ne-Yo perform some of his hit songs at the event.
The Liberty Air 2 Pro has PureNote Driver technology with 11mm drivers for accurate sound and clarity at all frequencies, according to Anker. They are also IPX4 waterproof, able to resist splashing water.
There is also multi-mode ANC with Transparency (2 settings), Transport, Indoor and Outdoor modes.
Battery life is rated at 7 hours with AND off and 6 hours with ANC on, while the Qi wireless charging case (USB-C) results in 26 hours of battery with ANC off and 21 hours with ANC off. Anker says fast-charging is supported, meaning 10 minutes of charging time will result in 2 hours of playtime.

With an assortment of user-customizable elements, from sound profiles to customizable ANC and transparency modes, the Liberty Air 2 Pro allows users to get the best sound for themselves,” added Gao.
The Liberty Air 2 Pro leverages 6-mics and has uplink noise reduction for premium call quality, while they will also support Apple’s Siri at launch, with other popular voice-assistants coming in the future.
These new wireless earphones look to compete with Apple’s AirPods Pro, which costs $329 CAD, but are available on sale for $262 on Amazon right now.
As for Canadian pricing, Liberty Air 2 Pro wireless earbuds will cost $169.99 CAD on Amazon.ca now, available in four colours.
