Last week, we told you about an Apple Maps error in Ontario, that labelled the entire stretch of Highway 401 incorrectly as Highway 403, as seen below:
That error appears to have been fixed by Apple over the weekend, as Highway 401 signs are now properly shown in Ontario:
The Apple Maps error wasn’t just on the map, as navigation labels also improperly showed Highway 403 instead of 401. For anyone relying on Apple Maps for directions, this would definitely pose a problem.
Apple Maps has improved over the years but it’s errors like these that can quickly erode user trust. This is another example of why I’m sticking to Google Maps for now (and most likely forever).
