Apple TV App Launches on Chromecast with Google TV in Canada and Beyond

Google has announced the Apple TV app has now launched on its Chromecast with Google TV.

“Starting today, the Apple TV app, including Apple TV+, is now globally available on the new Chromecast with Google TV, with more Google TV devices to come. To access the Apple TV app, navigate to the Apps tab or the apps row in the For you tab,” says Google.

For Google TV users in the U.S., they will be able to see Apple Originals in their personalized recommendations and search results. Also, Google Assistant can launch the Apple TV app or play an Apple Original title. Americans can also add Apple Originals to their Watchlists. Google says these features will “roll out globally in the coming months.”

Google also says the Apple TV app will hit Google TVs from Sony and TCL.

Regardless of who the partner is, more eyeballs for the Apple TV app and Apple TV+ is good for Apple.
