McDonald’s Offering Free Cheeseburger or Hamburger via Mobile App

McDonald’s is trying to encourage new sign ups for its mobile app, by offering up a free cheeseburger or hamburger.

The fast-food chain says you can get a “free cheeseburger or hamburger with $1 minimum purchase,” when you sign up for the McDonald’s app.

The McDonald’s app lets you order ahead for pick up, available curbside or from the drive-thru.

It’s worth noting some users have suffered payment security issues with the McDonald’s app. But Apple Pay is available as a payment option and should be your top choice for payment (never add your debit card to anything).

While your arteries in your future 65-year-old self will eventually hate you, the premise of a free, delicious cheeseburger may result in some sign ups of the McDonald’s app.
