Edmonton EXPO Centre Adds Contactless Parking with ParkMobile App

The Edmonton EXPO Center has announced a partnership with ParkMobile, to bring contactless parking to the convention centre, which is “the largest trade show and convention center in Western Canada.”
Visitors can reserve from over 3,800 spots using the ParkMobile app, thus avoiding contact points during COVID-19. Soon, a drive-up mobile payment option is coming as well via the app, for those who do not book parking in advance.
When a parking reservation is made, drivers just redeem their spot at the lot using a mobile pass in the app, or a printed permit.
“Through regular surveying of our visitors and clients, we have consistently identified parking as an area where we can make the greatest impact on guest satisfaction,” said Olaf Miede, General Manager, Edmonton EXPO Centre, in a statement.
ParkMobile operates at parking lots in Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa, Halifax, Victoria, and Winnipeg as well, and calls itself the #1 parking app in North America.
