Apple Fitness+ Unveils New Workouts for Pregnancy, Older Adults, Beginners and More

Apple announced on Thursday it has expanded Apple Fitness+ workouts to be more “welcoming and inclusive”, as new workouts are coming for pregnancy, older adults and beginners (Yoga, High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), and Strength).

There’s also new trainers, as Anja Garcia joins the HITT team, while a new Time to Walk with Jane Fonda is coming (to honour Earth Day), plus a Yoga and Mindful Cooldown with Jonelle Lewis, all coming on April 19.

“Apple Fitness+ is integrated with Apple Watch to build on the goal of helping people live a better day by being more active. With more options for getting started, and staying active and healthy during pregnancy as well as at any age or fitness level, we hope even more people will be inspired to keep moving with our amazing team of passionate trainers,” said Jay Blahnik, Apple’s senior director of Fitness Technologies, in a statement.

“We are also incredibly excited to welcome Jonelle Lewis to the trainer team and can’t wait for our users to try new HIIT workouts with Anja Garcia. We’ve brought together an incredibly diverse and inclusive team of Fitness+ trainers, and we love seeing our team grow, giving our users even more options to find the best workout for them.”

Here’s what you can expect next week:

  • Workouts for Pregnancy, Older Adults, and Beginners – 10 workouts across Strength, Core, and Mindful Cooldown.
  • Workouts for Older Adults –  8 workouts led by Molly with Gregg Cook for Strength, Dustin Brown for Yoga, Bakari Williams for HIIT, and Jhon Gonzalez for Dance
  • Workouts for Beginners – more workouts to choose from to help build strength, stamina, and flexibility

Apple Fitness+ costs $12.99 CAD per month or $99.99 CAD per year and can be shared with up to six family members. It is also part of select Apple One subscriptions.
