Report Claims Amazon Prime Day 2021 Might Take Place on July 12

While Amazon has been holding its annual Prime Day in July every year since 2015, the company had to move the shopping event to October due to logistical difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to a new report, Amazon Prime Day 2021 will take place on July 12-13, suggesting the event could be just a few months away (via CNET).

A screenshot of a purported internal Amazon site was leaked to Kiplinger, showing “July 12 & 13” as the dates for this year’s Prime Day. The image was reportedly shared by someone who said they were an Amazon employee. CNET hasn’t independently verified the authenticity of the leaked screenshot.

Since Amazon has not made any official announcement regarding this year’s Prime Day, it is difficult to authenticate today’s report, although Recode has previously reported that Amazon may hold Prime Day 2021 in mid-to late June.

Amazon’s Prime Day shopping event lasts multiple days and features discounts on a wide range of products offered by the retail giant.
