HomePod Now Sold Out on Apple’s Canada and US Online Stores

In both Canada and the US, the HomePod is still listed on Apple’s online store with a “Buy” button. However, both models now show as being out of stock online and unavailable for pickup in any stores.

On Apple’s overseas online stores from Japan, to France and Germany, the HomePod is listed as “availability reserved,” or “subject to availability.” However, they have also removed the “Buy” button. Apple Ireland shows just the HomePod mini, and Apple Italy lists neither HomePod model. At present, both the Mexico and UK stores appear to be some of the few, if only, online Apple Stores with any stock.

Apple discontinued the smart speaker after less than stellar sales. In fact, sales were so poor that people buying HomePods in the last couple of months still received units that were from the initial manufacturing run. The speaker has also been replaced by the popular $129 USD HomePod mini.

Anyone looking to bag themselves a new HomePod can still likely find one at a third-party retailer, so there is still hope. eBay is also full of used HomePods, so anyone looking to add one to their collection can still get that stereo pair they’ve been promising themselves for the last few years.
