RBC Mobile iOS App Now Supports 2-Step Verification

RBC Mobile for iOS now supports 2-step verification, adding further security to the banking app.
The app was updated today, but the release notes do not mention the addition of 2-step verification, however iPhone in Canada reader Thomas let us know it’s now available.
In the RBC Mobile app under ‘Features’, you can now see an option for ‘2-Step Verification’. From here, once you enable it and your trusted device, RBC says “a notification will be sent to your trusted device when a sign in attempt is made from any other device. You can allow or deny the sign in attempt.”

2-step verification means when enabled, you can approve or deny sign-in attempts if detected from another device. This is a great addition for RBC customers and likely other big banks will follow here.
