WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook All Down, Not Working in Canada Right Now [Update]
Looks like work productivity might be increasing soon, as Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp are all down for the count right now in Canada and beyond.
Facebook pages and posts won’t load, WhatsApp says “connecting” and chats won’t load, and Instagram says “we’re sorry, but something went wrong. Please try again.”
If you’re using WhatsApp for work or school to communicate, then the outage is going to be a problem. As it stands on Twitter, WhatsApp is trending number one, followed by the hashtag #instagramdown and also #facebookdown:
There’s no word on when the outages will end, but they shouldn’t be down for the count for long, we suspect.
While Facebook services are down, Twitter is still up and running and there are some hilarious memes out there.

Update Oct. 4, 12:50pm PDT: All Facebook services are still down. According to security researcher Brian Krebs, DNS records for Facebook and Instagram were removed this morning. This means even Facebook employees don’t have email access.
Confirmed: The DNS records that tell systems how to find https://t.co/qHzVq2Mr4E or https://t.co/JoIPxXI9GI got withdrawn this morning from the global routing tables. Can you imagine working at FB right now, when your email no longer works & all your internal FB-based tools fail?
