Apple Rosenthaler Straße Store Opens in Berlin Today

Apple is opening up the doors to Berlin’s new Rosenthaler Straße Apple Store location today, December 2. The space will be the first Apple Store in the Mitte borough of Berlin and is the second retail location in Berlin, alongside Apple Kurfürstendamm.

In a press release, Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail and People stated, “We’re excited to open our second store in Berlin, right in the heart of Mitte.” O’Brien continued, “Blending Apple’s exceptional technology and tools with the creative passion we share with this community gives us the opportunity to create something really special for our customers in Germany.”

Apple Rosenthaler Straße is located near Hackesche Höfe, a district full of art culture. The overall design of Rosenthaler Straße is very close to other stores around the world. The location features open tables used to highlight new products, a large Forum and video wall, and a dedicated area for product pickups. Rosenthaler Straße also features seven-meter high floor-to-ceiling windows and large interior trees.

To celebrate the opening of the store, Apple is hosting Berlin artists from the illustrator collective Parallel Universe, including Zebu Ruohan Wang. Each artist will use an iPad Pro to draw their own unique take of Mitte’s creative spirit. Customers will also be able to start signing up for Today at Apple classes.

In 2022, the new Berlin location will offer Today at Apple Creative Studios. This will serve as an initiative to provide career-building mentorship, industry skills training, tools, and creative resources to underrepresented communities within the area. Apple will be working closely with non-profit organizations and the community to connect young people with mentors.

Apple Rosenthaler Straße opens at 10 a.m. CET. Starting tomorrow, December 3, the location will begin offering walk-ins, pickups, and Genius Bar support.
