Tesla has just launched its Premium Connectivity subscription in the U.S. at a yearly rate of $99 USD, alongside a $9.99 USD monthly option, Tesla North is reporting.
For those who aren’t familiar, Tesla’s Premium Connectivity offers cellular connectivity for Live Traffic Visualization, Satellite-View Maps, Video Streaming, Caraoke, Music Streaming, and Internet Browser access. Tesla says “Orders of Model S, Model X, Model Y, and Model 3 will receive a Premium Connectivity trial at delivery.”
“Premium Connectivity is available as a monthly subscription of $9.99 plus applicable tax or as an annual subscription of $99 plus applicable tax and can be purchased at any time from your vehicle touchscreen or the Tesla app,” notes the electric car maker on its website.
While Tesla’s Premium Connectivity option is currently only available in the U.S., the company is planning to expand its avaailbity to Canada and beyond in the near future.
