Samsung and Telus have announced the successful deployment of the first next-gen Mission Critical Push-to-x (MCPTX) services in Canada, which will allow first responders to manage emergency situations with greater awareness.
Deployed over the Telus global network, this new MCPTX solution will be part of a mission-critical communications infrastructure that will provide Canada’s police, firefighters, and other public safety personnel enhanced multimedia communications using vital operational features such as interactive video, geofencing, and remote database access.
The MCPTX technology will also improve communications across a range of scenarios. For instance, to improve traffic control, MCPTX can enable traffic route maps for emergency vehicles to be transmitted to traffic lights, clearing the way to quickly reach a destination with “green lights” along the route.
