Apple’s 2020 iPad Air Hits Clearance Pricing at Costco; iMac on Sale for $300 Off

Costco warehouses out west have slashed the price of last year’s Apple iPad Air in Sky Blue, discounting the entry Wi-Fi model.

The 2020 iPad Air Wi-Fi with 64GB of storage and A14 Bionic is now priced at $678.97; any item marked down to end with 97 cents means it is clearance and will not be restocked. Call and ask to see if item 1486846 is in stock or not.

You can actually buy an “Amazon Renewed” version of the same 64GB iPad Air Wi-Fi from 2020 for $629 right now.

Compared to the new 2022 iPad Air powered by Apple’s desktop-class M1 chip, the same 64GB Wi-Fi model costs $749. So you’re only saving $70.03 by buying last year’s model from Costco that also lacks the new camera upgrade (12MP Ultra Wide front camera with Centre Stage).

If price is the only issue for you, then you may want to jump on the 2020 iPad Air from Costco on clearance, as you’ll get the company’s rock-solid return policy for the first 90 days. But it may be worth spending the few extra bucks for an M1-powered iPad Air as it’ll future-proof the device for later software updates.

Also on sale is Apple’s 21.5-inch iMac, powered by a dual-core 2.3GHz Intel Core i5 processor. This desktop comes with a 256GB SSD and 8GB of RAM, and is priced right now at $999, saving you $300. The item number is 5359032 and the sale ends on April 24, 2022.

Other tech items on sale right now include Google’s Next Hub Max for $229.99 (save $60) until April 21, 2022.
