Apple today release iOS 18 beta 3 and more for developers. One of the major changes for those in Canada is support for RCS Messaging. This means you can see an update on your messages sent with friends and family on Android.

As for what’s new in iOS 18 beta 3? Here’s a list of some changes according to iReviews on YouTube:

Home Screen:

  • Third-party apps now have dark mode icons.
  • Icons without dark mode have a dark tint for better appearance.
  • Updated Maps app icon.

Screenshot Features:

  • New option to add image descriptions to screenshots.

Files App:

  • Separate buttons for “Select” and “Search” to reduce confusion.

Calendar App:

  • Enhanced zoom options with haptic feedback at each level.

Wallpaper Tint Selection:

  • Improved ease of selecting tint color for icons based on wallpaper.

Control Center:

  • Smoother operation for adjusting and adding toggles.
  • Fixed issue where icons would go blank when switching modes.

Emoji Picker:

  • Redesigned picker with separated emojis and a rounded search bar.

Apple’s equivalent public beta version should be released by tomorrow or the next day. iOS 18 beta 4 will likely come in two weeks.
