Amazon has expanded the availability of Rufus, its cutting-edge AI-powered conversational shopping assistant, to all U.S. customers through the Amazon Shopping app.

Introduced earlier this year, Rufus is designed to enhance the shopping experience by providing instant answers to a wide array of product-related questions, effectively serving as a virtual shopping assistant.

Customers with early access to Rufus have praised its ability to provide detailed product information, making the shopping process more efficient and informed. Rufus answers specific inquiries such as, “Is this coffee maker easy to clean?” and “Is this mascara a clean beauty product?”

One of Rufus’s standout features is its capability to offer tailored product recommendations. For instance, when a customer inquired about a pool umbrella suitable for Florida’s climate, Rufus responded with insights into the state’s weather and recommended features.

Shoppers can ask about the best wireless outdoor speakers or the ideal lawn games for kids’ parties, receiving well-informed suggestions to aid their purchasing decisions.

In addition to answering specific product questions, Rufus helps customers stay current with the latest product updates and trends.

Queries such as, “What’s the most advanced Fire tablet for kids?” or “What are the latest denim trends for women?” are met with up-to-date information, ensuring shoppers can make trendy and informed choices.

Rufus also simplifies order management by providing quick access to current and past orders. Customers can easily track their packages with questions like, “Where is my order?” or “When are my dog treats arriving?”

To start using Rufus, customers should ensure their Amazon Shopping app is updated to the latest version. By tapping the Rufus icon in the navigation bar, a chat box will open, allowing users to either type their questions or choose from suggested queries.
