Apple Lands a Staggering 72 Emmy Nominations Across 16 Apple Originals

Apple has been nominated for 72 Emmy awards this year. Across 16 Apple Originals, the company’s streaming service has received a ton of recognition across many categories.
As the awards for the 76 Primetime Emmy Awards have been released, Apple received a record number of nominations. With a total of 72 nominations, Apple Originals such as The Morning Show and Slow Horses lead the charge for acclaim this year.
The Morning Show received a whopping 16 nominations, including its first-ever nomination for ‘Outstanding Drama Series’. The third season of the series also received the most performance nominations for any drama series with 10 acting nominations. Stars Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston are being nominated alongside supporting cast members Nicole Beharie, Greta Lee, Karen Pittman, Holland Taylor, Billy Crudip, Jon Hamm, Mark Duplass, Marcia Gay Harden, and Mimi Leder.
Apple Original limited series Lessons in Chemistry garnered 10 nominations, the first ever limited series from Apple to receive Emmy recognition. This makes the first-ever ‘Best Limited Series’ category nomination for Apple TV+. Acting nominations go out to Brie Larson, Lewis Pullman and Aja Naomi King.
Apple Originals such as Slow Horses, Silo, and Hijack are also being nominated. The former received nine nominations while Silo and Hijack received two and one a piece. Apple TV+ specials and documentaries also received some nominations. Most notably, STEVE! (martin) a documentary in 2 pieces received five nominations. Hannah Waddingham: Home for Christmas also made the list of nominated specials.

The 76 Primetime Emmy Awards honor television shows and specials from June 1st, 2023 to May 31, 2024. The award show is being held on September 15th at 8PM ET.
