Bell Launches Business Wi-Fi App in Ontario and Quebec

Bell has launched its Bell Business Wi-Fi App for small businesses in Ontario and Quebec, which lets small business easily manage their network.
The Bell Business Wi-Fi App from California-based partner Plume, offers enhanced security with three separate Wi-Fi zones, providing increased protection for business, employee, and customer internet usage. It features an easy guest Wi-Fi experience with a customizable login portal.
“Working with our global partners to find solutions that serve them and their customers is a top priority at Plume. The Bell Business Wi-Fi App is a perfect example of the service that we provide. Small businesses need connectivity, security and intelligent insights that allow them to focus on their commercial objectives without having to worry about technology. Managed networks that provide a seamless experience are crucial for all small business owners and we are delighted to help Bell achieve this goal,” said Adrian Fitzgerald, Chief Revenue Officer, Plume, in a statement on Wednesday.
Employee insights are provided through profiles that track productivity, allowing managers to optimize workplace efficiency. The app also simplifies management with user access control available through one-time or recurring schedules, accessible via an intuitive mobile or web-based interface. There’s also easy self-installation of Bell Business Wi-Fi pods and includes tools for network health monitoring.
“We’re excited to launch the Bell Business Wi-Fi App, a powerful tool for small businesses. Powered by Canada’s fastest network, Bell pure fibre Internet, it offers innovative features to help small businesses thrive. This app reflects our commitment to investing in new areas of growth and new opportunities for our customers, as we transform from a traditional telco to a tech services leader,” said Karine Moses, Senior Vice President, Small Business, Bell, in a statement.
For the second consecutive year, Ookla recently named Bell the fastest internet provider in its Q1-Q2 2024 Speedtest Awards report.
Way back in 2018, Bell launched its Whole Home Wi-Fi service, powered by Plume’s Wi-Fi pods. It’s no surprise both are continuing its partnership but for small businesses.
