Fido’s 60GB Plan Gets Unlimited Long Distance to 7 Countries
Rogers-owned Fido has tweaked its 60GB plan, adding unlimited long distance to seven countries (that’s after removing it and bringing it back yet again).
The $49/60GB plan after automatic payments discount was updated late last week to now include unlimited calls and texts to the US, Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Mexico, and UK.

Last week, we saw Telus-owned Public Mobile add 1,000 international long distance minutes to its $45/65GB 5G Canada-US plan.
Bell’s Virgin Plus and its $49/60GB plan only has unlimited talk and text to the US (the Quebec plans have US roaming data).
Is long distance supposed to be the new enticing feature for those seeking cellphone deals? Carriers seem to be targeting those that need to make international calls.
It’s worth noting Telus-owned Koodo has long had a free perk with its $49/60GB plan, that includes unlimited long distance calling to 27 countries including the US, China, Hong Kong, India, Mexico, Bangladesh, and the UK.
