Google’s Gemini Live AI Assistant Now Available for Android
Google has just introduced Gemini Live, a new AI-powered mobile assistant that promises to redefine how users interact with their devices. It is available to Gemini Advanced subscribers on Android, starting today.

Gemini Live allows users to brainstorm, plan, and explore new ideas with ease. Whether they’re looking to discuss potential career paths, prepare for a significant conversation, or simply explore new ideas, Gemini Live offers the flexibility to interrupt, dive deeper into topics, or pause and resume conversations.
Designed to function seamlessly even when your phone is locked or in the background, Gemini Live is as accessible as a phone call, making it an ideal companion for busy, on-the-go users.
In an effort to enhance the user experience further, Google has introduced 10 new voices for Gemini, allowing users to customize the tone and style that best suits their preferences. This added personalization makes interactions with Gemini feel even more natural and engaging.
Beyond its conversational abilities, Gemini is expanding its integration with Google’s suite of apps and tools, making it more useful than ever for managing everyday tasks. New extensions, such as Keep, Tasks, and Utilities, will be rolling out in the coming weeks, along with enhanced features for YouTube Music.
These integrations enable Gemini to perform complex tasks without requiring users to switch between apps.

For instance, if you’re planning a dinner party, you can ask Gemini to locate a recipe in your Gmail, add the ingredients to a Keep shopping list, and create a nostalgic playlist for your guests—all within a single conversation.
A new Calendar extension will also soon be available, allowing users to snap a photo of an event flyer and ask Gemini if they’re available on that date, or even set a reminder to purchase tickets.
With its debut on the Google Pixel 9, Gemini is poised to become the default assistant for millions of users, offering a glimpse into the future of AI-powered personal assistance.
