Amazon’s Ring has announced the launch of its new Battery Video Doorbell (3rd gen), which offers a 150-degree by 150-degree field of view, providing a 66 percent taller view compared to the previous generation, the Ring Video Doorbell 2nd Gen.
The enhanced field of view makes features like Package Alerts more effective. Additionally, the new model delivers up to 23% longer battery life, based on commonly used settings.
The Ring Battery Video Doorbell introduces a push-pin mount design, allowing users to securely attach the doorbell to the wall easily. A push-pin tool lets you take the doorbell off for recharging, which is similar to other doorbells such as ones from Nest.
Key features of the 2024 Ring Battery Video Doorbell include HD video with a 150×150 degree field of view, Color Night Vision, two-way talk, customizable motion and privacy zones, Package Alerts, Person Alerts, and Alexa compatibility.
Amazon says this new Ring Battery Video Doorbell is available for pre-order on Amazon.ca at CAD $129.99, with shipping set to begin on September 4, 2024.
