Sonos has announced the release of its latest software update, version 80.07.05 for Android and 80.07.03 for iOS, which began rolling out to users on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.
The update will be gradually made available over several days, allowing Sonos to monitor the rollout closely and address any issues promptly.
Here’s what’s new according to the release notes:
Sonos informed iPhone in Canada via email that users can check for the update in their iOS or Android app store and download the latest version once it’s available.
The new Sonos app has been under scrutiny for wreaking havoc on existing speaker set ups, with many owners up in arms about the overhauled app, that was released early for the new Sonos Ace headphones launch.
Sonos is trying hard to fix its newest app as it’s not working as intended for some customers. In our case, we haven’t seen any issues with our Sonos system and the mobile app.

I've had a Sonos system for three years and have used the app three or four times. What is everyone using the app for on a regular basis? I play music with Google assistant, it links up fine with my TV. I don't get the fuss.
I don’t know man people just like to complain these days. Half the point of the system is hands free control lol.
