Crave September 2024 Promo Saves You 40% Off

Bell Media’s streaming service Crave has launched a new promo for September 2024, offering 40% off its plans, but only with a 6-month subscription.
The “special offer” results in the following discounted prices for 6 months:
- Basic with Ads: $35 + tax ($5.83/month); was $9.99/month
- Standard with Ads $53 + tax ($8.84/month); was $14.99/month
- Premium Ad-Free: $79 + tax ($13.16/month); was $22/month
The promo means you need to pre-pay for six months upfront and are non-refundable. The fine print says your plan will automatically renew at the selected period.
The Basic plan only lets you stream on one device at up to 720p quality. Standard supports four streams at up to 4K video quality. These ad-supported plans also have “a limited number of titles unavailable” due to licensing restrictions. AirPlay, Roku, PS4/PS5 are not supported on ad plans.
Premium offers offline downloads and live channels and of course, no ads, unlike the other plans.

– "…with ads" – so basically the same as OTA TV stations like those we grew up with, but then you also pay additional. Kinda like paying for cable TV, but with fewer options.
Brilliant marketing.
Just reruns of Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Rocky, and indigenous crap. So… nothing to watch on these 4 channels. And my friends in the USA have like 10 HBO's channels, many Showtime and Starz channels…! Yeah, Crave sucks big time.
