iPhone 16 Pro to Reportedly Feature 4K 120fps Video Shooting
With only days left until the big reveal, new details have surfaced about the advancements in the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro’s camera system and performance capabilities.

According to a report by 9to5Mac, the iPhone 16 Pro is set to introduce 4K video recording at 120 frames per second (fps), a major leap from the iPhone 15’s 4K 60fps capability.
This marks the first time users will be able to shoot high-quality, ultra-smooth videos at such a high frame rate, offering enhanced clarity and detail for content creators, filmmakers, and casual users alike.
In addition to this, the iPhone 16 Pro will support ProRes 4K recording at 120fps when connected to external storage, providing even more flexibility for professional users who need high-quality footage. Furthermore, Apple is upgrading its QuickTake feature from 1080p to 4K resolution.
Rumours also suggest that Apple has tested 8K video recording with the iPhone 16 Pro. However, it is still unclear whether this feature will be available on production models. While the wide and ultra-wide lenses have the resolution to handle 8K video, the zoom lens remains limited to 4K, potentially causing Apple to hold off on this feature.
Apple has also addressed common video recording issues, such as wind noise, which will now be reduced automatically when shooting video.

Today’s report also notes that a new touch-sensitive Camera Button on the iPhone 16 Pro will offer multiple functionalities depending on how it is pressed or interacted with. A simple press will launch the Camera app or a third-party camera app of the user’s choice.
The iPhone 16 Pro is expected to feature a 48-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a significant upgrade from previous models. Both the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will share the same camera system, including a tetraprism lens that enables 5x optical zoom—currently exclusive to the Pro Max in the iPhone 15 series.
Apple’s special event will take place on Monday at 10 A.M. Pacific Time, where the iPhone 16 series will be officially unveiled.
