Initially launching with support for U.S. English, Apple Intelligence will expand to localized versions of English in regions such as Canada, the U.K., Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa by December. Apple also plans to roll out support for additional languages, including Chinese, French, Spanish, and Japanese, throughout the next year.

Apple Intelligence is designed to integrate deeply into Apple’s ecosystem, utilizing the power of Apple’s silicon to process language and images, take automated actions across apps, and simplify everyday tasks.

One of the key aspects of Apple Intelligence is its ability to balance on-device processing with Apple’s Private Cloud Compute, ensuring a flexible system that enhances performance without compromising privacy and security.

Apple Intelligence is set to transform multiple aspects of user experience on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. One of the most anticipated features is Writing Tools, which allows users to rewrite, proofread, and summarize text across various apps.

The Photos app is getting an exciting upgrade as well. The Memories feature will now allow users to create personalized movies simply by typing a description.

With Apple Intelligence, users will be able to record, transcribe, and summarize audio files in the Notes app. Email management gets smarter too, with Priority Messages in Mail, which surfaces important messages and generates summaries to highlight critical information.

More features are expected to be rolled out later this year and into 2025. New creative tools, such as Image Playground and Image Wand, will allow users to create custom images or turn sketches into visually appealing graphics.

Meanwhile, a new feature dubbed Genmoji will enable users to create personalized emojis based on descriptions or photos of friends and family.

The first set of Apple Intelligence features will be available in beta form starting next month, with the release of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1.

The updates will be compatible with the newly launched iPhone 16 lineup, including the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, as well as the iPhone 15 Pro models, select iPads, and Macs with M1 chips and later.
