Here are the First iPhone 16 Pro Drop Tests [VIDEOS]

A new iPhone launched today and that means drop tests by YouTubers. Come on, it’s all about the views right?
The first video published on YouTube was by channel MadMatt down in Melbourne, Australia, putting an iPhone 16 Pro Max through some drop tests. With Australia’s time zone advantage, the folks down under got their hands on the iPhone 16 first ahead of those in North America, for example.
Next, we have AppleTrack, which flew down to Australia from the U.S. to film a drop test. An iPhone 16 Pro was put to the drop test against last year’s iPhone 15 Pro. The phones ended up being destroyed as expected.
In both tests, the iPhone 16 models could not win against physics. Despite Apple marketing Ceramic Shield for its iPhone 16 series, glass breaks when dropped against concrete. At the end of the day, most people will slap their iPhone 16 series phones into cases, or pay for AppleCare+.

I think it's realistic for any drop tests from about where you hold the phone near your ear. If they busted the phones like this and have AppleCare+, can they get a new phone after paying a fee?
Yes you just pay the incidental damage fees for front/back glass to be repaired, and other fees depending on damage. Imagine the conversation at the Apple Store showing up with these phones…Lol
It’s not the cracks that bug me, it’s the tiny hairline scratches that AppleCare doesn’t cover that have happened on EVERY iPhone I’ve owned since 12 Pro with the new style of glass. My iPhone 7 doesn’t have a single scratch or crack on it and it has been through way more than my 12 Pro and 15 Pro Max.
